What waste does the Landfill accept and what are the Landfill Rates?
We accept the following general waste types
Municipal Solid Waste
Items such as common household garbage, lawn waste, grass clippings, boxes, plastic, other packaging, furniture, clothing, bottles, food scraps, and newspapers.
Mixed Construction and Demolition Materials
Items such as cardboard, drywall, flooring, roofing materials, tile, and windows.
Clean Asphalt/Concrete
Items such as any combination of rock, concrete, gravel, brick, asphalt, or asphalt grindings.
Clean Dirt
Items such as granular soil, clay, sand, or silt that breaks apart.
Woodwaste and Greenwaste
Any combination of clean wood, dimensional lumber (no painted or treated wood), grass, branches, leaves, and other plant matter. Minimal roots and soil content allowed.
Household Hazardous Waste
Household hazardous waste accepted at landfills is restricted to residential customers only. This waste is not accepted from commercial entities per State of Utah regulations. Items accepted include televisions, fridges, monitors, paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides. Some of these items require an additional fee.
Residential household hazardous waste contains potentially hazardous substances that require special care when being disposed. Please inform our Landfill personnel when disposing of these materials so the waste can be segregated and disposed of properly.
Rates
Intermountain Regional Landfill charges by size of load and type of waste. Residential loads start at $10 for an average size pick-up load. Larger loads may be charged more. For your convenience, we accept cash, card, or check.

Special Disposal Rates
Special disposal fees apply for appliances refrigerators, tires, & mattresses as outline below:
Mattresses or Box Springs
Mattresses: $15 each.
Box springs: $15 each.
Appliances
Major appliances such as washers, dryer, and water heaters are accepted for disposal and/or recycling for no additional fee.
Refrigerators without freon: $10 each
Refrigerators with freon: $25 each
Televisions or Monitors
Televisions: $5 each
Monitors: $5 each
Tires
Tires with rim: $10 per tire, maximum of 4 per load (State Regulation)
Tires without rim: $5 per tire, maximum of 4 per load (State Regulation)
Tires are shipped to tire processors for recycling.
Mobile Homes or Boats
Mobile homes or boat rates vary. Please fill out the contact us form and we will reach out to you to discuss rates.
Eagle Mountain City resident vouchers
Intermountain Regional Landfill is a private landfill. Eagle Mountain City has worked with our Landfill to provide their residents two courtesy Landfill passes a year. Passes can be picked up at Eagle Mountain City Hall and cover 6 cubic yards not exceeding 500 lbs. of general waste including most types of Household Hazardous Waste. Larger loads may require an additional cost.
Passes will not cover mattresses, refrigerators, tires with rims, more than one tire without rims, or more than one television or monitor.

What kind of waste does the Landfill NOT accept?
Intermountain Regional Landfill cannot accept any of the following waste types:
Biological Waste, Medical Waste, Contaminated Material, or Other Hazardous Waste
Fluorescent Light Tubes and Ballasts
Bulk Liquids (Containers over 5 gallons in size)
Water-Soluble Solids
Salt, Borax, Lye, or Acids
Empty Hazardous Material Containers
Septic Tank or Chemical Toilet Waste
Automobile Bodies
Radioactive Materials
Hazardous Waste from Commercial Entities including batteries, automotive fluids (fuel, antifreeze, oils), paint, lacquer, stain, thinner, varnish, wood preservatives, and chemicals of any kind, including pool chemicals, pesticides, and weed killer.

Does my load need to be tarped?
ALL loads must be fully tarped and secured per Utah State Code. Loads not fully tarped, uncovered loads, or unsecured loads, will be charged double rates.
